Across the globe, fintech startups have emerged as the leaders in the startup ecosystem.
Be it the Ant Group in China, Stripe in the US, Paytm in India, or the Interswitch Group in Africa. Fintechs are the cherry on top of the cake (or more-or-less the cake itself?).
But now let's talk about India.
Over the last decade, fintech companies have penetrated the market deeper than ever. Even though there have been some key market-moving events such as demonetization, Covid-19, internet accessibility, etc. that have provided tailwinds, the railroads to go deeper in the market have been in the works for a while.

To discuss where these railroads are leading, and where the new and upcoming fintech startups find light at the end of the tunnel, we are hosting a round-table discussion with Ankit from iSpirt tomorrow at 1:30pm.
Since we plan on keeping this as a small and intimate discussion, please reply back to me with why you'd want to attend and I'll be happy to add you.

Also, given that we are on the topic of Fintech, I drafted a small presentation on whether Fintech companies will be able to do banking better than traditional banks.
Feel free to share your views on it

When Amazon enters your business on the e-commerce side of things, you might be worried. But when AWS launches a cloud service in your market category, that could be great news.
Amazon Location Service introduces the market category of the location cloud and uproots Google Maps’ decade-long stronghold in a market that wants more. This is great news for the location and mapping ecosystem.
Last year, Scott Gairdner, a comedy writer and director who had worked on Conan and created the animated series Moonbeam City, went to the Hollywood offices of the new streaming platform Quibi for a pitch meeting. He is also the co-creator of a viral Adult Swim video called Live at the Necropolis: Lords of Synth, which Quibi was considering adapting. Gairdner was provisionally excited. In a business where new players pop up only to evaporate, he was used to deals never quite materializing. But a new, deep-pocketed buyer was cause for optimism.
Elon Musk is on a mission. He’s on a mission to Mars. He’s on a mission to save humanity from its reliance on fossil fuels, which could destroy the planet and kill us all. He’s on a mission to save us from artificial intelligence algorithms going rogue and machines ending human life as we know it. He’s on a mission to help save a group of boys trapped underground in Thailand. A mission to transport people from Los Angeles to San Francisco in giant air tubes. A mission to build ventilators for hamstrung hospitals during the coronavirus pandemic. He’s on a mission to prove the coronavirus fatality rate is greatly overstated. To dig tunnels underground to alleviate the fatuous cycle of traffic jams. To save journalism. To mitigate the effects of climate change. To transport people in earthbound rockets from one continent to the next in mere minutes.
