Firstly, a very happy new year! It feels like it has been a decade since I've written the Investopad newsletter, and honestly, I missed writing it.
I do understand new year resolutions are so 2008, but, I do plan to make one this year to get back to writing.

So let me start with a bunch of updates at our end!

Investopad is a bigger team now! So let me introduce you to them;

Shreyans Salecha "The Teacher" - Shreyans is a 3x ACCA rank holder-member who is currently studying CFA. In fact, he was also a founding team member at the entrepreneurship & professional accounting department at a university, where he taught accounting and finance! He loves to cook and make Youtube videos (not of cooking).
He joins us as an Investment Analyst and is fantastic at breaking down complex concepts and making them simpler.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading, riding horses & playing poker.
He joins us as a Platform Analyst and is really good at building internal tools - so in case you want to jam to optimize internal processes you know who's your guy!

If you've been watching Shark Tank you will know that as a startup founder the first thing you need to be is a good salesman.

Your pitch is everything. It's how you get money to convert your ideas into reality. And for this, you don't just need talent and data. You need storytelling, passion, charisma, and conviction.

You know who else needs to have such character traits? Fraudsters.

To improve your user experience, you need to understand the biases & heuristics affecting those four decision-cycle steps.
Here is a list of cognitive biases and design principles (with examples and tips) for each category. Let’s dive right in.
A Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is just what it sounds like. Introducing a new product to the market with minimal features but enough to catch consumer attention is called Minimum Viable Product or MVP. After the first product users provide enough feedback, the final product is released to the market.
